Suzhou Gansu Prefab Technology has launched a new range of eco-friendly container houses designed to minimize environmental impact throughout their lifecycle. These models use formaldehyde-free interior panels made from recycled wood fiber and low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints, ensuring healthy indoor air quality for occupants. The exterior is constructed with weather-resistant steel that has a corrosion-resistant coating, extending the lifespan of the houses to 15-20 years—5 years longer than standard container houses. A key sustainability achievement is the high recycling rate of materials: 90% of the steel used in the houses is recyclable, and during the manufacturing process, the company has implemented waste reduction measures that cut construction waste by 40% compared to traditional brick-and-mortar buildings. To further enhance their eco-credentials, the container houses are compatible with solar panel installations and rainwater harvesting systems, making them suitable for off-grid or sustainable housing projects. Suzhou Gansu has already received orders for 300 units from European clients focused on green building initiatives.
