Bangladesh Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant Project Command

This project is a key livelihood initiative under the Belt and Road Initiative and represents the largest preferential loan project undertaken by a Hunan provincial enterprise overseas. With an EPC contract value of US$325 million, it will ensure safe drinking water supply for one million Bangladeshi residents upon completion. Zhongxiang Jinlinjia undertook the construction of the project command center, with a total floor area of 1,403.67 square meters. It consists of 89 modular units, providing comprehensive facilities for both office and living areas.

Implementation Highlights
Cross-border Logistics and Delivery Assurance: The 89 modular units departed from Shanghai Port, transited through Dongguan Port, Port Klang (Malaysia), and Kolkata Port (India), arriving at Chittagong Port (Bangladesh) after 25 days. Escorted throughout by the heavy-lift vessel “Xin Da Qiang”—known for transporting “national strategic assets”—ensuring secure delivery.
Standardized and Efficient Construction: Employing fully prefabricated factory production, the units integrated structural components, interior fittings, and MEP systems. On-site work was limited to assembly and utility connections, achieving “temporary facilities meeting main project standards.” Strict adherence to schedule milestones was maintained throughout production and delivery.

Project Significance

As the inaugural milestone project for Jinlinjia Modular Construction's international expansion, this endeavor successfully validated its adaptability for cross-border public welfare projects. It has accumulated comprehensive experience across logistics, customs clearance, and on-site implementation—laying a foundation for future participation in infrastructure development along the Belt and Road Initiative.
